Wanting to create a platform for companies looking for growth capital and investors seeking exposure to the natural resource sector, Gabriel co-founded Amvest Capital with Stuart Macliver. With his background in value investing, Gabriel looks at fundamentals first, and takes a concentrated approach when evaluating new clients or portfolio companies. Throughout his career, he has raised and invested over $1 billion for companies in the mining and metals, oil and gas, and agriculture industries. Before forming Amvest Capital, Gabriel worked on the buy and sell-side in various roles, spanning from analyst to junior partner.

Gabriel graduated from the University of Miami with a degree in International Finance and Marketing and is also a Board Member of the Cuban Artists Fund.

 
Stuart Macliver

Stuart co-founded Amvest Capital with Gabriel Alonso-Mendoza to develop a platform for institutions to access the mining and metals industry. Stuart's background in finance, coupled with his geology qualifications, enables him to assess natural resources opportunities from both a financial and technical perspective. He has gained significant corporate advisory and transactional experience across M&A, equity, and debt capital markets within the natural resources sector, having worked at both internationally-recognized and boutique firms in Australia and New York.

Stuart holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Australia, is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, and holds a Graduate Diploma in Geology from the Western Australian School of Mines.

 
 
Campbell McCrary

Campbell McCrary

A native New Yorker, Campbell has been involved in the junior resource space since 2002 when he co-founded O&M Partners, LLC. Campbell developed the industry standard for investor roadshows and webinars, targeting resource investors across the world, especially those in the United States. Coast-to-coast, he has a following of nearly 10,000 investors - from tier one, two, and three funds to high-net-worth individuals. Campbell has worked with more than 350 different issuers throughout his career.

Campbell holds a Bachelor of Arts from Northwestern University and an MBA, with a concentration in Finance, from Columbia University in the City of New York.

 
Tomasz Nadrowski

Tomasz has over 25 years of expertise in mining investments, most recently as Portfolio Manager for Anholt, a family office in Connecticut. His experience includes roles as Commodity Strategist at Doyen Capital in London; Portfolio Manager at De Gouden Eeuw, a long/short gold fund domiciled in The Netherlands; and as Commodity Analyst at Round Table Investment Management, a multi-strategy hedge fund based in Charlotte, NC. Previously, he was VP Corporate Development at AngloGold Ashanti in Johannesburg, the world's largest gold mining company at the time.

Tomasz is a former Director of the World Economic Forum (WEF) and a CFA Charterholder. Fluent in seven languages, he holds an MPA from the School of Economics and Social Sciences and an MA in Japanese (cognitive semantics) from the University of Geneva. He serves as Director at Anu Energy OEIC Ltd.

 
 
Scott Sowell

Scott has been instrumental in marketing and executing live and virtual events for over 15 years. Before joining Amvest Capital, Scott was the Assistant Director of Special Events for NYU's Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service. He managed and promoted over 200 strategically-focused, small and large-scale events each year, serving various NYU and New York City communities. Previously, he was the Special Events Manager for Spoleto Festival USA, the largest multidisciplinary performing arts festival in the United States.

Scott studied Political Science at the University of South Carolina. He completed the Culinary and Restaurant Management Program at the Institute of Culinary Education in New York.

 
 
Jennifer Wingand

Jennifer Wigand
Manager, Operations

Jennifer has been involved in the finance industry since 2011. Jennifer began her career working with individual investors at T. Rowe Price. She then managed a multifunctional team that handled compliance, fraud, retail adjustments, retail banking, and NAV reconciliation. To expand her knowledge of the financial services industry, Jennifer transitioned to a role in the fund accounting department at ALPS, a leading provider of innovative investment products and customized servicing solutions in the financial services industry.

Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Colorado, and earned her MBA from Johns Hopkins University.
